Service Availability & Precautionary Measures for COVID-19 “Circuit Breaker” in Singapore

On 3 April 2020, the Singapore Government announced “circuit breaker” measures to combat the increasing spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are monitoring the rapidly evolving situation closely, and have implemented a number of temporary changes to our Singapore operations. The health and well-being of our team, partners, and customers is our highest priority.

BEAM Space will be implementing the following precautionary measures with immediate effect, which apply to all of our storage and logistics services.

Please check here or follow us on social media for timely updates. We will continue to constantly assess the severity of the outbreak, as well as guidance from the relevant authorities, and make adjustments as necessary.

Urgent/Essential Services

At this time, we are only scheduling pickups and/or deliveries for those customers that have an urgent need or for those business customers who are providing (or otherwise supporting) “essential services“. As per the Requisition of Resources Act, we are also able to assist those customers “to move to another place of accommodation” or “to leave Singapore”.

Declaration Form

All customers will be asked to complete a Declaration Form prior to our driver arriving. Unfortunately, we will have to cancel any requests for which a Declaration Form has not been submitted.

The information you provide is important in managing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The Infectious Diseases Act requires a person who has reason to suspect that he is a case or carrier of COVID-19, or has had contact with a person with COVID-19, to act in a responsible manner to not expose other persons to the risk of infection by the disease.

Maximum of 1 Pickup/Delivery Per Week

We urge all customers to only place a maximum of 1 order per week, as we do not have the capacity currently to deliver multiple times to the same address within the same week.

Social Distancing

We are asking that all customers bring the item(s) to be picked up to the main entrance of the business or residence. Drivers are instructed to maintain a two (2) metre distance while waiting to collect/deliver your items.

Proof of Delivery

Along with the social distancing measures above, we are also temporarily suspending the need for customers to sign for the pickup/delivery, so as to minimise contact.

Drivers will instead take a photo of the items at your door as proof of delivery and sign the delivery confirmation on your behalf (a copy of which will be provided by email). Rest assured that our drivers will not leave your items unattended without your explicit permission, and we will communicate any changes to your order or delivery time on the day itself

Temperature Screening & Sanitary Measures

All of our drivers and staff are undergoing temperature checks at least twice daily. Drivers are wearing masks and are washing their hands at every contact with a customer, or at minimum every 2 hours. All delivery vans are equipped with hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial wipes, and drivers are trained to wipe down van interiors and equipment at regular intervals.

Please note that our drivers also have to undergo additional checks and health declarations at certain residences. As such, each delivery now has additional steps involved and we seek your understanding if yours takes longer than expected.
